Annie Caldwell

LEXINGTON, Ga. - Annie Laurie Caldwell, 94, wife of the late Alfred Henry A H Caldwell, died January 28, 2014. A native of Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Walton Pope Willoughby and Lillian Irene Willis Willoughby. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Larry Caldwell, daughter, Mary Elizabeth Herndon, and sisters, Edna Stewart and Mabel Lowe. She retired from Almar Manufacturing and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Survivors include her children: Robert Walton Caldwell of Tignall, GA, Alfred (Beverly) Virgil Caldwell of Lexington, GA, John (Martha Ann) Edgar Caldwell of Carlton, GA; sister: Frances Zacharian of Chicago, IL,; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 at 3PM at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Albert Huyck and Rev. Arthur Key officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the church. Flowers will be accepted.
