Jerry Patrick Vargus

Jerry Patrick Vargus, age 54, of Antioch, CA, passed away on February 21, 2024. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and father figure to so many. Jerry enjoyed making people laugh, discussing his favorite football team, the Las Vegas (Oakland) Raiders, and basketball team, the Golden State Warriors. He also had a special connection with animals, being somewhat of a dog whisperer.

Jerry is survived by his wife Melanie, son Ryan, mother Kathleen, 2 brothers Steve and Sean, 4 sisters, Gina, Kisha, Tiffany and Nicole and several beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He cherished spending time fishing with friends, especially life long friend Jerry Guillen, going to the movies with his son and Jose, and taking road trips and vacations with his family. Jerry also enjoyed exploring new casinos and buffets, working on various projects from toasters to cars, collecting coins, and watching his favorite YouTube channels.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Noon at the Marina Event Center at the Pittsburg Elks Lodge. Contributions in memory of Jerry Patrick Vargus can be made to the American Heart Association at heart.org.
