Jess Burks Alford Jr.

Jess was an outgoing & very warm individual. I met him at Annapurna Chai House in Albuquerque in 2009. We connected over many lunches talking about Macrobiotics, the environment & life. I feel grateful to have crossed paths with him. He was such a lovely friend. He will be missed. My heart goes out to his family and all those lives he touched.

Jess was a favorite lunch companion whom I got to know first through working together. Our friendship grew over the years and I once baked for a special celebration tea when he visited another coffee shop where I worked: Coffee at Dawn.
He is a soul whom I will miss very much
