Daddy,
I'm grateful that you are my Father. You loved all of your children and your favorite one was the one you were talking to at that time.
You told me not to let anyone steal your joy. You gave everything and purchased everything you owned at least 3x.
You taught us Christ in values of family, love, and peace. You'd help everyone and nobody was a stranger if they met you. You blessed our family to be joined as a beautiful quilt that kept us safe and provided for all of our needs. You gave us jobs and encouraged us to grow and uplift. You told me that I'm an owner and not a borrower.
Everytime, I fell, you were just a call away. I didn't understand.
You were sick. You didn't remember what I remembered. So I started taking pictures of us together more so I could show you us being with you more and more. You would always ask about your children. You always gave an encouraging word and saw potential in everyone.
Now, I'm slowly starting to understand. I always listened to you. I didn't have to speak up because you always knew how to guide.
I pray that you are resting in peace and no longer carry the burdens of this world. Pack light.
We have always loved you and always will. I will embrace our memories and seek God for guidance.
This peace is of God. Somehow, I found joy as you spoke about. I believe.

Love Always,
Jessica

God promised to "give strength to his people." (Psalms 29:11) May he give you the strength you need now and in days to come.
