To my Tio Jesse:
I'm Johnny Reyes, son of Emilio and Lupe Rodriguez Reyes from Boise, ID. I never had the opportunity to meet you, Tio. But I remember as a young child sitting aroung the kitchen table while my mother and father told stories of the days of the boys shearing the sheep, stomping down the wool on these bags, working hard and being family. These stories were how I knew you, and loved you. My two older brothers look so much like you; My mother saw you in them, and named me after Tio Johnny Rodroguez. So you see, miles separated us, but you are in my blood. So I send my condolences to your family, and may God bless them all.
From your cousin,
Johnny Rodriguez Reyes

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
We love you so much Jesse.... We will soon meet again!!

Well, Tio, I'm sorry I didn't get to see you. I always wanted to go to Dallas and sit down with you and just say hi. But now, instead of Dallas, you will be in my heart and my memories forever.
Love,
Joe Reyes.
P.S. To my cousin Yole: I know Tio's gone but now you have to be strong for your family so they will never forget their grandpa.
Love you,
Joe

Why did you have to go and die?
I don't want to have to say goodbye.
God must have thought you were special to take you away,
but couldn't he have waited for another day?
God's looking after you now,
High, high up in the sky.
Up there where all the angels lie.
You wouldn't have wanted me to make a fuss,
After all, you're still down here with all of us.
Just because I can't see you, doesn't mean you're not here.
I know you are somewhere very, very near.
I love you so much but it time to say:
See you later My Friend
Because your life here on earth has come to an end.
Rest in Peace, Papi!

The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning, that God was going to call your name. In life we lovely you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone for parts of us went with you, that day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide and though we cannot see you, you're always on our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.
I love you Dad,
