Jesse James Sabo, age 52, of Bluefield, WV died on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at his home. Jesse was born in Welch, WV on January 10, 1969 to Jess and Deloris Sabo (Schleiger). Jesse grew up in Roderfield ,WV where he attended Roderfield & Fall River Elementary Schools and later Mount View High School. He was a life-long construction worker starting at the age of 17 and was still enjoying this every day working closely throughout the years with his big brother Michael. Jesse was also an avid sports fan. He found the most enjoyment in life spending time watching, playing, or even discussing sports with his boys and his nephews or anyone else that would talk about it. But above everything, Jesse was the best husband, father, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to everyone he knew. He will always be remembered for his teasing and jokes as well as his caring nature and his willingness to help those in need.
Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Jess Sabo.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Melissa Sabo (Franklin) and his three sons who were his pride and joy, Bradley and Nicholas Sabo of the home and Dr. Matthew Sabo and wife Lyndsey of Lexington, Ky as well as his nephew whom he often thought of as his fourth son, Justin Sabo and wife Brittini of Princeton,WV.
Jesse is also survived by his mother Deloris, two brothers: Michael Sabo of Bluefield,Va and Adam Sabo of Big Sandy, WV and three sisters: Deborah Sabo of Boston, MA, Sheila Riggs of Big Sandy, WV and Pamela Wolfe of Bluefield, WV. Jesse was part of a large family, and his memory will live on through his many nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
Services will be conducted on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Deliverance Temple Church in Brushfork, WV at 11 am, with Pastor David Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Deliverance Temple Church from 6-8 pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Poole, Rob Childers, Robbie Justice, Mike Farmer, Travis Ellison, Joey Mullins, CJ Graham and TJ Lankford. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Dyson and Lonnie Walker.
The family would like to announce that attire for visitation and services will be “dress down” as this is what Jesse would have preferred.
