Jessica Laura Melo, age 36, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 in Sebring, FL. She was born on August 25, 1985 in Torrington, CT to Silvio S. and Laura (Starr) Melo. Jessica has been a resident of Sebring for 5 years, coming from Connecticut. Jessica was very artistic, loved music, enjoyed crafting, outdoor activities and was a talented singer and dancer. She called Brady her “Son-shine” and they would sing “ You are my Sunshine “ together. She always considered her friends her family. She was pre-deceased by her grandparents Silvio and Deolinda Ganhadeiro. She is survived by her loving parents, Silvio and Laura; her young son, Brady Melo, and brother, Chief Petty Officer Silvio P. Melo of VA; Grandparents Philip and June Starr and Flousina and Joao DaCosta. She leaves behind many beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of friends to mourn her passing. Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Stephenson Nelson Funeral Home with Eric Zwayer officiating.

I worked with Jess at Town and Country in Torrington. She was always friendly and she always had a smile to share. I’m sure she is missed by many. So very sorry for your loss.

I’m so sorry to hear of Jess’s passing. I worked with her at Town and Country Hair Design in CT. She was a good hairdresser. She went with me for my first tattoo. My thoughts go out to the her family and friends at this difficult time.
