Jessica Lynn Strader

STERLING- Jessica Lynn Strader, age 29, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at home. Jessica was born on March 29, 1983, the daughter of James and Sherry (Bright) Coleman, in Sterling, IL. She married Jared R. Strader on June 13, 2009 in Sterling. She graduated from Prophetstown High School in 2001. She then went on to complete her undergrad through Ashford University in Clinton, IA, and finished up with her master's degree at National Louis University in Chicago. Jessica was passionate about her career as an elementary special education teacher at Jefferson School, and was very involved in the Unit 5 school district. Jess loved spending time with her family and friends, and she truly cherished each moment with them. Survivors include her husband, Jared; one son, Dominique; one daughter, Khloe; her parents, James and Sherry of Tampico; one sister, Jamie (Rob) McIntire of Tampico and her maternal grandparents, Joe (Linda) Bright. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Suzette and A.J. Coleman Jr. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Abiding Word Church in Sterling, IL. The funeral service will be Friday at 10:00 AM at the church with Reverend Scott Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling. Arrangements completed by the McDonald Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established. Jess would like to thank everyone for the love and support.
