Jessie Belle Hudspeth Gibson

Jessie Belle (Hudspeth) Gibson, 89, of Muskogee, passed away Easter Sunday while giving prayer at the family's Easter celebration.She was born February 19, 1921 in Alvord, Texas to Ralph and Ollie Belle (Grimsley) Hudspeth. Jessie attended school in Tipton, Texas. Later, she met Carmon Gibson and they married on July 4, 1942. They resided in Porum before moving to Muskogee, where she was a homemaker. Jessie was a devoted Christian wife, mother and grandmother.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carmon D. Gibson on October 17, 1999; sister, Sylvia Spomer, brother, Willis Hudspeth; grandsons, Jimmy Gibson, Phillip Polumbus and Levi Williams, Jr.Jessie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dewayne and Christine Gibson; daughters, Linda Frame, and Barbara Skrnich and her husband, Michael; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and sister and brother-in-law, Allene and Glen Criner.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Fosters' Ivory Chapel with Rev. Louie Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Skrnich, Brian Sloan, Jerrod Sloan, Christian Sloan, Jeremie Hinds, and Jerry MerrellFuneral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
