Jessye Olivia Davis passed away peacefully in hospice on December 29, 2024 in her daughter's home in Skokie, Illinois.
Jessye Olivia Davis leaves to rejoice in her loving memory, her children: Elizabeth ( Lisa ) H. Robinson of Skokie, IL, Veronica Grace Hegeman of Brooklyn, NY, Charles Oxford Hegeman, Jr. of Cheverly, MD, and Edward John Davis Hegeman ( Maria ) of Boston, MA. ; Grandsons: Randel Robinson, Langston Hegeman, and Mizeye Hegeman; Sisters: Evangeline Clare of Chillum, MD., Ellswer Tillman ( Herbert ) of Hyattsville, MD; Brother: Edward Davis ( Lisa ) of Bowie, MD., and a host of close family members and dear friends.
Services will be held at 12:30 PM (PST) on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Holy Cross Cemetery - Risen Christ Chapel located at 5835 W Slauson Ave. Culver City, CA 90230

So glad to have met Jessye in 2022, and when she was here with her daughter Lisa in 2024. I have loved Lisa as a surrogate daughter since I met her when she came to Evanston, IL over 20 years ago. It was such a pleasure to have met Jessye, her children, and siblings. Her family was such a blessing to her.

Jessye you are a beautiful person inside and out. For the last 27 yrs. we have known each and what a pleasure it´s been. I miss our talks about work, family/friends and just life. I will miss you always, your smile, style, witty personality and over all you as a wonderful person.
