Jay is survived by his mother JoAnn Gonzales; his fiancé Nikki Mellow; brothers Mike and Vince Gonzales; sisters Debbie Quiterio, Teresa Davis, Kristina Cruz; five nieces and two nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, August 27th, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church at the corner of Akers and Caldwell in Visalia at 10 am.
Arrangments entrusted to Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue,Visalia, CA 93291 (559) 732-8371.

JoAnn, not sure if you remember me. My name is Angeline, Jay and I dated right before he transferred to Fresno. I'm so sad to hear about his passing. He was a wonderful man and was so kind hearted to my son and I. He loved you...his family so very much. My heart goes out to you and your family for your loss. He will always be in our hearts.

My deepest heartfelt condolences to you and your family for your loss of Jesse. Although I never had occasion to meet my nephew, I did spend some time looking and reflecting on the treasury of photos in gallery and I regret not having knowing him. You had a beautiful son with a radiant smile and it is evident that he was a bright, handsome and happy young man. I am sure that the world is now less bright for those that knew and loved this hero and servant of the people. Please also extend my sincerest regards to all your family and Nikki for your loss.

I've known J.W. since he was born, he grew to be quite a young man & much to be proud of. Joanne, I am so-o sorry for your loss.. I feel blessed to have known Jay as the sweet boy with the constant smile when we use to spend Christmas Eve with M & L. Then to see him grow into the beautiful man he was. He gave so much to his country as a Marine and then as an officer, my family and I will miss him.
