In memory of
Grady Moore

Dear family,
I was one of Coach Canter's baseball players and students at Gladewater High School in the 1950's. I enjoyed playing for him so much. He was a great coach and a fine gentleman. All the kids loved and respected him. I last talked to him in a telephone conversation in 2000, just before the GHS school reunion that year.
I have many fond memories of Coach Canter and I will never forget his influence on my life. Our prayers are with you all.
God bless you,
Grady Moore

We came to Jacksonville 33 years ago, July 1973, because of Jim Canter. Before encouraging me to "sign on the line", he asked if we had prayed about the move, just making sure we were following God's lead in our lives. He was a great coach and leader for JISD, a gentle and Godly man at all times, and one we are thankful to have known. We will miss Coach Canter's presence in this world, but will surely see him again in Heaven.
