Bill and Geraldine Collie

May 11, 2012

Deepest condolences to you all for your sad loss from Bill and Geraldine, the Yorkshire branch of the family tree.

Our dad, (Wullie/Bill) was just 3 years older than James and I always recall how much alike they were.

Uncle James had a lovely (Glaswegian) sense of humour and a convivial geniality which we were glad to experience - once again - just a few short years ago on his visit to his home city.

With heartfelt sympathy and love xxx

To all the Collie family,
Thank you for the photo gallery. It was great to see all the fun and laughter Uncle James brought to everyone. I am in the photo with him and my brothers in Glasgow and remember the day well. He was so like my Dad (Bill)- talking to everyone and making jokes. What a great way to remember him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Jim Collie was the perfect example of what a Gentleman should be.
Jim introduced us to the Knightsbridge Seniors' Centre and was our 'escort' on several trips both locally as well as abroad. He will be sadly missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Collie family.

Jim's laughing eyes and sense of fun are evident throughout the lovely photo album, thank you for sharing it with us.

Your mum and dad were always "Uncle James and Auntie Betty in Canada" to our family (Bill and Rose's kids)in Glasgow, and we share your sadness today.

With love from "the other Brian Collie" - Brian, Josie, Ben and Natasha xx

To all the Collie family
What I always remember was his ready laughter and the fun and enjoyment he took out of life and his family. It was a privilege to spend time with him on his last visit to Glasgow. I knew him as Uncle James and I always thought of him as a great fun and loving character. He will be sorely missed. Our sincerest condolences to you all.

To the Collie Family,

It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now,it will be the memoriesof these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles and laughter back.
