Jim Hawkins

October 30, 2013

Jim and his family were there for us in 1982 when we had our house raising bee near Elk Point, AB. He brought his talent and humour to our project as he did to so many others. We are very grateful to have known Jim and wish to pass sincere condolences to all members of his family.

We, along with many others who knew Jim and family in the NE Alberta area around Elk Point, remember him fondly and are saddened by this news. Goat roasts, musical evenings, shingling bees, general good humour and the army --- there was never a dull moment when the Fisks were about! RIP, Jim!

We are very sad to hear that Jim is gone. We enjoyed visiting with him and his young family while he lived in the St. Paul area. We had many long nights of talks, laughs and good company. Gary and Deborah Lind

We, John and Barbara Kirk, are very sorry to learn of Jim's death. We knew him in between Calgary and Vancouver, near St. Paul, Alberta, where he and Jeane built a beautiful log house.

Jim brought many hardy chuckles and deep laughs to many people. It is impossible to remember our teenage years without Jim at the forefront. Very sorry to hear Jim passed...special condolences to Trudy who helped inspire our youth.

Meeschka and Jackie Kehler (formerly Merlino) extend our deepest sympathy. Meeschka always loved playing with Jim and having all those pictures taken too! Jim was a wonderful man who cared very deeply for his mother, Trudy. He always made time for her, even just by sending her funny emails. You are greatly missed already!
