It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James "Jim" McCloy on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the age of 61.
Jim had a gift of leaving a lasting impression on his friends and family. His true love and commitment was for his children and grandchildren. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed many interests throughout his life including a passion for gymnastics, running marathons, hunting and sailing. He was also a talented businessman that led him to many successful endeavours.
Jim is survived by his children Matthew McCloy, Kelsey McCloy, Connor (Justine) McCloy and their mother Shauna McCloy; grandchildren Mikennah and Hayden McCloy; loving mother Joan LeFaivre; sisters Genie (Tim) McCaffrey, Charlyne Jackson and his brother John McCloy as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends that loved him dearly. Jim was predeceased by his father John McCloy and sister Airaca Haynes.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday April 30, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Philippe Couillard and the staff at the Foothills Medical Center ICU for their wonderful care and Dr. Stephanie Mason for her dedicated care to Jim over the years.

I only just now found out about Jim's passing, I too am shocked. Although we didn't see each other for many years, we did reunite and share some personal and special parts of each other's and our lives. I of course will always hold a very special little part in my heart for him. We had our gymnastics, and high school memories and I will never forget them. GOD bless you Jim and be at peace.

Jim was my first employer when I graduated 30 years ago! I would occasionally touch base with him over the years. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful man - smart and energetic. Prayers to the Family.

To Jim's family and dear friends,
I was so shocked to hear of Jim's passing. I worked for Jim and he truly was one of the best people I have ever met. I recall his " 5 minute warning" phone calls back to the office, that most often meant he was at least 30 minutes away! He will be truly missed. A great, great man.

My deep sympathy to Jim's family on his passing. Over the years, various companies I worked for bought furniture through Jim. He was always upbeat and very knowledgeable - - and a sharp dresser!

I am so very sorry and shocked to learn of Jim's passing. We were just musing the other day about Jim's saying If you don't take the shot you'll never score the goal!!! Brings back many fond memories of working together with Jim and McCloy Business Furnishings. Again so very, very sorry!

Jim and I were best friends growing up in NW Calgary. Even though we did not keep in touch over our Adult years, I will always appreciate the friendship and closeness we
shared when we were young.
I was hit with sadness when I heard of Jim's passing.
