I am still in shock from hearing of Jim's death. He was such a wonderful friend to all of us. He always had a smile and a positive comment. He stayed in touch with high school friends and many other friends he met throughout the years. It had been too long since I had talked with him, so he called Lester to see if he had heard from me. Lester called me, and we had a great conversation. I then called Jim, and we had a good conversation. He said he was glad that I am okay. That's the Jim we all loved, and he will be missed. Without a doubt, I know he is with God! I am so happy I had him for a friend. He had a good marriage, and he was so very proud of his family. I'm sure everyone is left with many good memories. I was totally blessed to call him my friend.

Jim and I were classmates at Portales High School, Class of 1958. In all the years of knowing Jim, he was always the same person whenever I saw him -- humorous, honest, humble and just an all around "good guy". He lived a good and useful life and found success in his professional life, as well as his personal life with his partner, Melba. Rest in Peace, old friend.

Jimmie Louis, one of my favorite cousins. I have so many memories a book could be written but not enough time or space on here. Just know he was greatly loved and will be missed by many. I know he is upstairs with so many loved one who set the path for him. Love yo Jim and will miss your great smile and many hugs, ginger
