Jimmie Coal City, Indiana Mollenkopf Jimmie J. Mollenkopf, 78, passed away April 19, 2025 at his residence in Coal City. Jimmie was born to the late Arthur Vaughn and Lona June (Shepherd) Mollenkopf on August 30, 1946 in Indianapolis.

Jimmie was a 1964 graduate of Pendleton High School. After high school, Jimmie began working at Delco Remy until his retirement in 1994. He loved motorcycles, hunting, fishing, boating, NASCAR, and singing karaoke. He was a member of the VFW Post 6606 and the American Legion.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Shane Mollenkopf and a brother, Rex Allen Mollenkopf.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Teresa Mollenkopf (Pettigrew), step-children, Larry Reason (Amy), Tammy Cooper (Chris), Michael Reason (Angie), and Susan Hallsworth (Bill), as well as his siblings, Rick Mollenkopf (Brenda) and Peggy Packard, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and two very close friends, Jerry Ball and Jim Fisher.

A funeral service will be held Friday, April 25th at 12 P.M. at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 East 8th Street in Clay City. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be to VFW Post 6606 or the Clay County Genealogy Society in Center Point.
