Hello! I am so sorry for your loss. As the the University Librarian at Oglethorpe University, I would like to honor Ms. Porter with a book in the library collection in her memory. If a family member would reach out to me with a title, I will purchase it and place a book plate in the front with Ms. Porter's name. Eli Arnold [email protected]

Dearest Momma, you gave me life, and you raised me, and set me free. Your revolutionary spirit, brilliant mind, and courageous acts of protection for your fellow human beings and for our family, will always be remembered with love and gratitude. I would not be the woman I am, or have had the glorious adventures I have had, without your encouragement, patience, strength, humor, love and unwavering acceptance. You will always be my brightest angel and most whimsical influence. Thank you for all you gave and all of the precious and fun memories you made into little movies and will play in my heart and mind forever.
