Mr Rupp is still a conversation my husband Matt Lindsay class of 83 and i (Nathalie Lindsay class of 85) have when we watch a movie and say Mr. Rupp would love this. He was an amazing teacher and still after 40 years has an impact. Rest in peace you changed lives!

My senior year of high school. Films class. I had more fun and learned more about film than ever before. Those lessens and the films we watched that year have stayed with me a long time—and memories of Mr. Rupp alwAys with the cup of coffee. Thank you for being such an inspiration to that young kid!

We have great memories of Jim. He was such a big part of Mountain View HS. He was a wonderful role model and always well respected. His films class was a favorite of our sons and he also was a favorite teacher of our sons. The world would be a better place if there were more people like Jim.

Mr. Rupp was a favorite at Mt. View and he made my high school years memorable. His support of athletics and great sense of humor will be what I remember the most. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Im so sorry to hear of Mr. Rupps passing! His films class was one of my most memorable of high school. I still think of it often, even 30 years later. I feel so fortunate to have had him as a teacher. All of my best wishes.

Jimmy and I attended college together and worked on a ranch in the summer where his dad was a foreman. We hunted deer together and did things with he and paquita. He was the best man at my wedding. We lost touch when my family and I moved to California. Carol and I give our condolences to Paquita and family.

RIP Jim. Jim was a good friend and mentor to me and I have always appreciated everything he did for me during my years as a coach at Mountain View. He cared for kids and he was always there to lend an ear and advice. I can see him now walking into the gym with a cup of coffee and a smile ready to disperse one of your Ruppisms. I had the pleasure to see Jim a year ago when he came to my retirement party. Its sad to think Ill never see him again. Thank you Jimmy you were one of the best my friend. I will miss you. Prayers to Paquita and his family.

Even though it's been several years since I've seen Jimmy, I've always considered us to be good friends. In our high school days in Centralia he and his brother, Jack, and I skied together. Later Jim and I traveled many times from Ellensburg to Centralia and back during our college years. Jim accompanied me from Ellensburg to Battle Ground where we both were offered teaching positions. Jim and Paquita housed my wife, baby girl, and I in Battle Ground until we could find a home for ourselves. I will always be grateful for our early and long friendship and the kindness that the Rupp's always offered. Paquita, I'm very sorry for your loss, and I hope you'll share my thoughts with your family.

Dear Paquita (and family)... What a great loss! Jim was such a kind, friendly, happy person! I don't think there is anyone in the ESD that doesn't know who Jim was! My daughter had classes with him and LOVED him. My heart goes out to all of you. May your memories of your husband, Dad, and friend help you remember him for all time!

"You see", Jim Rupp was my teacher at Evergreen H.S., my wrestling coach all 4 years, and later a colleague as I became a teacher at EHS. Past wrestlers coached by him, collected money for a continual wrestling trophy in his name for the EHS wrestling team and presented it to him at his retirement party at Hap Hapala's home. "You see", he was more them a teacher and coach to his students, but a friend. He will be remember this way in our lives...."You see".

So sad to hear about Jims passing! I worked with him in and around MVHS for most of the 90s, organizing youth basketball tournaments and seeing his smiling face at all the school sporting events, As the father of three multi sport student athletes at MVHS, I valued his advice and dedication to all the kids! He was always there, smiling, positive, and committed! The MV Family lost a good one here! RIP Jim and THANKS for a job well done!
