Jimmy Schronce Obituary
Graham - Jimmy G. "Sarg" Schronce, 85, of Graham passed away at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 12:36 p.m.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the husband of the late Barbara Crawford Schronce and the son of Berlie W. Schronce and Mary Whisnant Schronce, both deceased. He was a retired veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving from 1953 until 1973 and also retired from the U. S. Postal Service. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Janie Schronce of Snow Camp and Jennifer Roberts and husband Keith of Mebane; two sons, James K. Schronce of Mebane and Jeffrey G. Schronce of Haw River; seven grandchildren, Joshua Schronce, Jacob Schronce, Dakota Collins, Dalton Collins, Samantha Roberts, and Lexie Roberts; three great-grandchildren, Landen Schronce, Emilie Schronce, and Amelia Collins; sister, Martha S. Tingen and husband John of Graham; and two brothers, Don Schronce and wife Pat of Graham and Mike Schronce and wife Jean of Graham. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Schronce.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 12:00 noon with the family receiving friends from 10:30 until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Other times the family will be at the residence.
