There were few things that I enjoyed more than seeing uncle Jim pull up to mamaws and him letting me climb in the back and pick out a box of debbie cakes. We would walk in together and he would put some cakes in the kitchen for mamaw and Carol.
To this day the smell of cardboard boxes instantly transports me to the back of that truck. He was nothing but good to me and I have always remembered his generosity.

I loved Uncle Jimmy and cherished the summer visits back in the 70's with Jimmy, Aunt Janet, and cousins Jeff, Todd, and Crystal. Jimmy was a great man who had a positive zest for life. I loved visiting his home, the last time being about 2000. I wish I got to see him more over the years but I live in Oklahoma.
