Just learning today of Jo-El's passing.
His album "Cajun Life" is simply fantastic and one of my all time favorites.
I am off to put it on the stereo now...

It was 1990 Abilene, Texas. Jo-El became very emotional as he met us
on an open field outdoor event. He recognized Barbara and I as family.
We often visited in Tennessee. In tears Jo-El said, "My Momma passed you know that. We lost Momma. Momma is gone yeah!" Joel loved his wonderful Momma so very much. Jo-El was, and is a National Treasure..............Q

I was a member of his fan club while he lived in Nashville. Loved his music. Had the opportunity to speak with him a few times , and he was so polite , courteous and humble. Sad to learn of his passing.
