Jo Sullivan Loesser was vivacious, charming, irreverent, fiery, and a wonderful entertainer. Small though she was in stature, her style, personality and presence always managed to light up a room.
She was truly a woman of exceptional wit and wisdom who could talk about anything and everything. Over the course of our 22 year friendship, we relished swapping stories with her about our beloved dogs, discussing whatever current book she was reading, or hearing about her latest project.
Jo was a force to be reckoned with on many levels, but never more than when she was working to preserve Frank Loesser's legacy.
Her devotion to her family and loved ones knew no bounds.
Our deepest sympathy to Jack, Emily and her entire family.
We will miss her always.

My father played trombone in Jo's production of the original Three Penny Opera and The Most Happy Fella and we grew up knowing her name and listening to the recordings. My mentor Jack Fink introduced me to her and my father and mother and I got to hear her sing all those years later- a wonderful closing of a decades long circle. A wonderful woman!

The Rubin family sends their deepest and sincere condolences. What began as a friendship between two actors (Jo Loesser and Arthur Rubin) became a friendship that spanned multiple generations and lasted a lifetime. Jo was a very talented actress and a fierce guardian of Frank's legacy, and will always be remembered fondly.
