Nellie and family -- I was saddened to hear of your mother's passing. I remember her attending our revivals at Round Hill Baptist Church and sometimes we would run into her at other special functions as well. She always made sure to seek out my grandmother, Lillie Dickinson, to extend greetings from our "Lee" family. My grandmother was Joan's 1st cousin once removed. Grandma Lillie was the daughter of Ida Pratt Lee Green; Ida was the sister of Joan's grandfather, Robert Fitzhugh Lee. "When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!" Peace be with you, Sheri

Grammaw, you are the glue that held us together, your strength and resilience showed us anything is possible.
Thank you for taking us in and raising us in a loving home. Thank you for teaching us right from wrong, compassion, and most of all unconditional love. You are more than just a grandmother, you are a Grand-Mother. I miss you and I keep those lessons that you taught us close to heart so that I can pass them to the miracle that you gave me. Thank you, and I know that's not enough. I love you and miss you.
You deserve your rest. I love you.
