Joan Kling Obituary
Born in Boston, Mrs. Kling was a graduate of the MacDuffie School in Springfield. She attended Lasell Junior College in Newton and graduated from Bay Path College in Longmeadow, where she was vice president of the student council and president of the alumni association.
Mrs. Kling worked as a secretary at Friendly's headquarters in Wilbraham and as an executive secretary for the president and vice president of Kaiser Aluminum in Chicago.
Before moving to Yarmouthport in 1997, Mrs. Kling lived in New Bern, N.C., from 1993 to 1997, and in Norwell from 1966 to 1993.
Mrs. Kling is survived by two sons, Brian Kling and his wife Jeanne of Halifax, and Adam Kling of Plympton and his fiancée, Pamela of Norwood; a daughter, Sandra Kling of Norton; and two grandsons, Benjamin and Brendan Kling, both of Halifax.
Funeral services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
