Joan was a special lady - she lit up every room she entered. She was always kind and welcoming to me, and answered lots of silly questions when I was new to RiverStone without ever getting impatient. Just today, someone did something kind for me that reminded me of Joan - simple gestures for others (accompanied by a smile and a wink especially) will always remind me of her. She clearly loved her family fiercely and talked about you all the time. I miss her very much and am so sorry for your loss.

To Joan's family....I am so so sorry to hear of Joans tragic passing. I knew. Joan through Walgreens Pharmacy in Bedford. I run the cosmetics department and often chatted with Joan about the newest make up and what she might like. Joan was a pleasure to chat with and she ALWAYS had a bright beautiful smile that would just light up her eyes! Her eyes were so beautiful.... I will cherish those happy moments with her. She just made my day when I would see her. I am sure your family will deeply miss this beautiful lady but know that she did brighten many peoples days and I was lucky enough to be one.

Joan:
You will be missed every day. Your humor, spirit, and friendship were very much appreciated and will always be remembered. You also made a great effort with my family, Holly, Sean and Cindy; each of which are so sorry to hear of your passing. I appreciate the effort you made every time we saw each other especially as you left in the evenings walking by my desk on your way out. I learned much from you and will carry that forward. Your friend, Phil

Dear Maureen and Kathy,
I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Joanie was definitely one of my favorite cousins and I always loved seeing her at the Kennedy XMAS parties and summer get-togethers. She always had a smile on her face (which I know she inherited from Aunt Mabel and Uncle John!), along with kind words and lots of witty remarks. I will truly miss her. My deepest condolences to you both and to your families and friends. I am truly proud to have had Joanie as a cousin. She was a great and beautiful lady -

Joe, Kathy and family, my deepest condolences to all of you. Joan was such an amazing woman who loved life and especially her family. In recent months our conversations revolved around grandchildren since my first grandchild was born. She had such wonderful stories of all her grandchildren. She was so proud of all of them. She assured me that the love for a grandchild was tenfold of that for a child. She was absolutely right! Her presence at RiverStone will be greatly missed but she will live in our hearts forever. There's a new angel in heaven watching over all of us. Rest in peace Joan. My thoughts and prayers are with Joan's family.

So much more than a co-worker, Joan had become like family to me. She was a one of a kind, sassy force of nature. We talked often about family, and how much she loved her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter and how she cherished her time with them. I'll miss her laugh, her wicked sense of humor, her grace and style and most of all her friendship. Rest in peace dear Joan.

I am shocked as anyone to hear this sad news. I had the privilege of sharing a pod with Joan at work. She will forever be remembered for her haute couture, that endearing Chicago accent, and her office decorated with her two favorite things - portraits of her beautiful family and shamrocks. May those Irish eyes always smile down upon us! I can hear her now saying, "Good to know!" What a wonderful person. She will be sorely missed. Dr. Filippa Viola
