Joan NENER Obituary

Peacefully March 29, 2018 in her 92nd year with her family by her side. Predeceased by the love of her life, Kingston Nener. Survived by her children, Gillian (Pierre), Jennifer (Brian), Kenneth (Myra), and grandchildren Patrick, Nathan, Laurel, and Hayley. Joan was a loving, insightful lady known for her strength, determination, humour, and love of life. A special thank you to Glennis Aris for her support, love, and outstanding care over the past several years. Thank you to June Robar of Nova Scotia for looking after King and Joan in their home in Pleasantville, N.S. Thank you to the staff and caregivers from Home Instead, Empress Kanata, and Granite Ridge Care Community. A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on May 12th at Pinecrest Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa. A reception will follow. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Joan. She was such a lovely, kind lady and I enjoyed her so much. Her sense of humour always had me in stitches and sitting and chatting with her was often the highlight of my day at the Empress.
My sincere condolences.
