BANGOR - Joan M. Umble, 84, died Oct. 22, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 2, 1930 in Bangor.

Joan is survived by her children, James A. Umble of Bangor, Timothy L. Umble of Hermon, Vicky L. Leeman of Bangor, Terry L. Umble of Holden and Jodie A. Gehan of Glenburn; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, John F. Turner of Orono and a sister, Candace Coughlin of Exeter.

In keeping with Joan's wishes, services and interment will be private. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.

So sorry to hear of your mom's passing! I have a lot of memories of Joan as a teenager and growing up with Jody! She was funny but stern. My heart and thoughts and prayers are with u all in this time of sorrow.
