Predeceased by her husband Jan (2001) and son Stanislaw (2005). Loving mother of Mary (Jan) Szczepanek and Val (Ewa) Skiba. Dear Babcia to Jennifer, Monica, Michael and Matthew. Dear sister of Stefania and Bronislaw and predeceased by brother Jozef and sister Stanislawa. She will also be remembered her extended family in Poland. Joanna was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church since 1959 where she was a member of the Catholic Women's League. Visiting will take place at

(519-253-5225) on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 6 - 9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Holy Trinity Church, 1035 Ellis St. E. at 9 a.m. Please go directly to church, no procession from the funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, Memorial donations made to the Holy Trinity Church Building Fund would be appreciated. You may leave your condolences online at

My condolences and prayers go out to the whole Skiba family. I had the pleasure of teaching Matthew in Mississauga years ago, and met Mrs. Skiba while working at one of the elections here in Windsor. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with the family.
