Joanne (Gianna) Zazzeron

Joanne Zazzeron peacefully passed away on June 30, 2023, in the presence of her family. She now reunites with her beloved parents Assunta and Ribelle Guadagnini. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Louis Zazzeron and her children Daniela, Lisa, Danny and Michelle. Additionally, she leaves behind her grandchildren Jenna, Max, Megan, Nina, Jacob, Marco and Juno.

Gianna Guadagnini was born in Paderno del Grappa, Italy on February 10, 1937. She immigrated to San Francisco with her family in 1949. She shared many happy memories with her younger sisters Bruna, Carmen and Ivana. Joanne took great pride in both her Italian heritage and American citizenship. She attended Star of the Sea in San Francisco and became a legal secretary. However, the work she enjoyed most was being a school secretary at Pleasant Valley in Novato.

It was nearly 70 years ago when she met her husband, Louis, when he asked her to dance at an Italian picnic. Together they created a beautiful life, residing in Marin and eventually settling in the home that Louis built in Sonoma. She loved spoiling her children and grandchildren, traveling the world, bowling, playing Rumino, ballroom dancing, and cooking.

Known for her kind heart, Joanne was cherished by all who knew her. As she transitioned into eternal life, she reminded us of the importance of laughter and forgiveness.

Services will be held at St. Francis Solano Catholic Church in Sonoma

Rosary: July 15, 2:30pm

Funeral Mass: July 16, 2:30pm with reception following at residence
