Joanne Porter Puckett

North Ogden - North Ogden-Joanne Porter, 87, passed away peacefully at Quail Meadow Assisted Living. Joanne was born in Provo, UT, to Irvian James and Harriett Hannah Simpson Porter. She was raised in Ripon, CA, and graduated from Ripon High School, Class of 1955. She attended Delta Junior College in Stockton, CA, where she began working as a secretary for Metropolitan Life Insurance.

Joanne married Rodney Emil Puckett in Carson City, NV, and they later moved to Ogden, UT, where they raised their three children.

Joanne is survived by her children, Rodney (Lisa) Puckett, Peggy Muir, and Brenda (Jeffrey) Sappington; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, William (Phelma) Porter, Marvin (Betty) Porter, Pauline Andrascik, and Lorraine Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband; her son-in-law, Scott Muir; her great-grandson, Daxton Lambson; her parents; her brother, Ronald Porter; and her sister, Diane Landolfi.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12 to 1:15 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
