I just learned of Joao Dominic's passing. He was a very special friend. He officiated at our wedding in 1973. Peter and I were very appreciative of his friendship. He was very close of to all of my siblings as well as our mother. I first met Dominic when I was 11 years old and attended many of his wonderful novenas at St. Anne's Parish in Fall River, MA. Our 3rd son was named Daniel Dominic after our dear friend. He is truly missed.

I just learned about Fr. Joao's death and was deeply saddened. He was a dear friend of my family for the past 40 years and although we had lost touch over the past decade, he was always in our thoughts and prayers and will continue to be.

Dear Fernandes Family,

Bill and I extend to everyone in the family our deepest sympathies on the loss of such a great man.

Although it's sometimes hard to understand why people are taken from us, we know that you will find comfort in knowing that you were all a special part of his life.

Anne-Marie and Raymond, we know how much you loved him and share in your sorrow. May pleasant memories carry you through this sorrowful time. You know that we are always here for you.

Dear Maria and family,

My heart was broken when I heard that your uncle had passed away. Both my mother and I were blessed to have had an oppotunity to be with him on June 25, 2008.
He was a kind and gentle man. I will miss him and forever be grateful for the kindness he showed during my mother's funeral.

My thoughts are with you all.
