I am so sorry for your loss.

It will be one year tomorrow since we learned that you left us. It still seems surreal.

Jamie, Jim, Sam, Andra, Sophie, and I attended the service at St. Paul today to remember you, Jodie. We visited your grave where we shared a poem and prayers. We also lit a lantern in your honor. We know you were laughing at us, Jodie! What an ordeal!!! We miss you sooo much!

Debbie and Diane, I am so sorry to see this news. I was looking at the obituaries and saw Dorothy Zalders' name, so I read on to see this is your daughter, Debbie, and your niece, Diane. I did not know Jodie, but knowing you two and your mother, I know she was a very special person. I am so sorry for you and your family. My sister lost her 31 year old son two years ago and I know how difficult this is on the family. A mother is not supposed to bury her child. You will all be in my prayers.

My heart skipped a beat when I heard of Jodie's passing. I had the privilege of teaching her dancing many years ago at Encore and always remember her adorable smile and giggles…even when she couldn't get the steps right, her attitude was great and she was having a ball! I remember her once telling me so honestly, "I don't really 'get' ballet" and yet she gave it her best effort.

My heart breaks for you and your family and I hope you find some comfort knowing that many around you will miss her sweet smile. Praying for each of you.

I was so sorry to hear about Jodie's passing. We went to high school together and she was such a beautiful, sweet girl. I will always remember her smile. She was a special person and I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for everyone to find peace during this difficult time. Rest in Peace Jodie.
