Joe Bunyan Broadwater

After many years, I want to say that Joe and I shared a special bond. He would call me on the phone and ask questions about his work out. He also taught me things like rappelling, how to tie a Swiss seat, how to set off C4, un jamming a beaver dam on limestone creek. He was my jr high coach and some one I wanted to be like. My hero of sorts. I still miss his early morning phone calls Jim Witt life long friend...

Frances , Bill and I are sad also. We have some fond memories at your house on Jefferson You two had so much love to share and we will always cherish these memories.

I always looked forward too seeing Joe at work.
My wife Mary taught his children at AHS and she has very fond memories of Joe. We are sorry for your loss.

I worked closely with Joe at Intergraph for five years.He was a good friend and confident.He was one of the best persons I ever knew, sincere and above board.

Even though I only spoke with Mr. Broadwater on a few occassions, he was a man for whom I have the utmost respect. He was a family friend of my grandfather, father, aunts and uncles and they all have fond memories of him and stories to tell of this man who did more for this country than most will ever know. Joe was my Daddy's best friend and mentor. I know Heaven is a little brighter today with the two of them catching up on old times. I remember Daddy telling me all the great stories and the "Legend" that was Joe Broadwater. Now his legacy is in those who he loved and left behind. We shall all join him one day in Glory.

Van Gordon not only had a high school teacher; but a lifelong friend in Joe. They are probably catching up on the "good ole days" now. Frances I emphathize with you in your loss.

We regret the loss of Joe Broadwater. We knew him as a fine gentleman and businessman.

Joe will be missed by not only his family but numerous other people whose life he has touched. I will always remember the way he welcomed you into his home or when you met him on the street and his great sense of humor. He was not only a servant of God but also to his family and country. Joe was a great teacher and friend. He was my high school biology teacher. We all had a great time listening to his stories. I will miss him.
