I wrote Coach Collier in early 1972 and asked if he was returning to Buffalo with Lou Saban. he wrote back and explained that Denver was a better situation for him and his family. I still have that letter today.

I would like to extend my condolences to the entire Collier family. I provided the dental care to your Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Great Grandpa and many more for almost 30 years. It was a pleasure getting to know Joe and I was grateful to have him as a friend. What an awesome gentleman and contributor. Smiling as I write this tribute to a special person

My late husband Bill Brooks played High School football with Joe. I had the pleasure of him and Shirley at Western Illinois University. We became godparents to his daughter Julie. You were blessed with wonderful parents.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the death of our dear friend Joe. Our memories of him are from Rock Island, Ill. and Northwestern University where Joe was the receiver of our brother Dick's passes while cheering for the Wildcats. Also we watched all of the Broncos games while Joe was in Denver and our brother was invited to be on the sidelines for many of them. Our whole family have been Bronco fans since the 1960's. We send our sincere condolences to all of Joe's family.
Dick Thomas and the entire Thomas family.
