I was only fortunate enough to spend a year
with Joe at Pitt. That was long enough to realize what a special person he was. Great family man, coach, and friend. He will be missed by all.

I worked for the Ravens for 13 years. What I can say about this wonderful man is that he never hesitated to speak to you no matter what your position was as an employee at the training facility. He was very cordial very nice and I always saw a smile on his face. He would make an effort to always speak to you. He would go out of his way to make sure he spoke every time he saw you. My condolences go out to the family. As part of the MLB family my condolences also go out to the NFL family and the Baltimore Ravens.

I Remember Coach D walking down to the Locker Room at M&T Stadium with that smile on his and caring attitude. Also giving fist bumps and asking me how do you feel and enjoy your day
