Mr. Joe Kiun Ho

To our beloved Dad missed by Ho's families

"Joseph J K Ho, Director, Kawa Tailors Company Limited" it says on the business card handed to me by dapper Mr Ho when I had the good fortune to become his customer about twenty years ago. I had been referred to Mr Ho by Simon Murray, then taipan at Hutchison Whampoa. Over the years which followed until he left Hong Kong, Mr Ho gave me the benefit of his authoritative sartorial counsel, which was wrapped in warmth, cut with wisdom, styled with a flourish of humility and finished with a buttonhole of charm. I always looked forward to my visits to his opulent shop in The Prince's Building as much for the pleasure of seeing Mr Ho, Anthony, Andrew and Mr Cheung, the cutter, as for that of my new clothes. My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones. RIP, Mr Ho. You are missed.
