Joe N. Ippolito, 89 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 27, 2017. He was the owner and operator "Famous Shoe Repair Shop" for over 50 years. He loved his customers and they loved him. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II where he served in Tokyo Japan. He was preceded in death by his Father Norman Ippolito and mother Jean Costa Ippolito; brothers; Jim Ippolito and Frank (Anne) Ippolito. He is survived by his brother, Tony (Kathryn) Ippolito; sister in-law, Josephine Ippolito; Nieces and Nephews: Tony Jr., Johnny (Tracy), Frank (Donna), John "Bobby" (Josephine, Norman (Martha) Jimmie (Shannon) Ippolito and JoAnna Mollica, Gloria (Lee) Ross and his very special loving aunt Maggie Scarpulla; cousins: Louise (Louis Dichiara, Antoinette (Wallace) James and Frances (Glenn) Walls. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m., on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, AL with the Funeral Mass following at 10 a.m.
