Dearest McNamee Family,

It is with great sadness that I heard of the recent passing of Joe. On behalf of the Ontario Branch of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors, I would like to extend our condolences. Joe showed a great passion for environmental health and was also a great ambassador for the profession. He will be greatly missed.

On a more personal level, I would like to say that I fondly remember Joe, who showed great leadership and kindness to me as a Student Public Health Inspector at the Ottawa-Carleton Health Department. He was an inspiring and supportive man.

God's Peace surround you as you move through this period of time.

Sincerely,

Shawna Bourne

Dear Terri and Girls: Joe was one of my favourite cousins. While I was at university in Ottawa, Joe and his brothers made my brother, Bernie and myself feel welcome in a new city. I will never forget his laugh, his love of family, his kindess, and that Irish sparkle in his eyes! We are so sorry for your loss.
