Dearest McNamee Family,
It is with great sadness that I heard of the recent passing of Joe. On behalf of the Ontario Branch of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors, I would like to extend our condolences. Joe showed a great passion for environmental health and was also a great ambassador for the profession. He will be greatly missed.
On a more personal level, I would like to say that I fondly remember Joe, who showed great leadership and kindness to me as a Student Public Health Inspector at the Ottawa-Carleton Health Department. He was an inspiring and supportive man.
God's Peace surround you as you move through this period of time.
Sincerely,
Shawna Bourne

Dear Terri and Girls: Joe was one of my favourite cousins. While I was at university in Ottawa, Joe and his brothers made my brother, Bernie and myself feel welcome in a new city. I will never forget his laugh, his love of family, his kindess, and that Irish sparkle in his eyes! We are so sorry for your loss.

Terry and the girls,
We were so very saddened when news reached us in Halifax of Joe's passing. There is little we can offer at a time like this other than words which we hope will bring you some level of comfort.
We certainly will miss Joe's usual cheery G'Day Ben! Along with his quick and easy smile and sense of humour.
May you find solice in your memories and much needed healing.
