Joe Pyka Obituary
Joe was born Gerald Joseph Pyka Jr. in Fort Worth on Saturday, August 25th, 1962 to Gerald and Patricia Pyka. He is survived by loving fiancé Tammy Jackson, daughters Joanna Fye and Kristine Pyka, brother Jimmy Pyka, sisters Shelly Breakey and Marla Pyka, 5 grandkids, and many neices and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Joe grew up moving quite often but loved Texas the most. Joe spent his professional career as a driver for FedEx, but that would be cut short due to health issues. Although he fought many health battles, including beating cancer, he maintained an optimistic faith about life.
Joe was an avid sports watcher, his favorites being professional and college football, as well as golf. In addition to being a proud Texan, he was a proud American, a true patriot. Joe watched the news as he was concerned about events happening both locally and globally.
Joe had a deep love for music which he frequently enjoyed and felt a profound connection to. Joe's effortless signature style most often included a hat, sunglasses, and button down shirt. Paired with a cold drink and a spicy snack, Joe found joy in life's simple pleasures.
Above all Joe deeply loved the Lord, family, and friends. Joe's strength, lively spirit, lighthearted humor, bright smile, and good hair has imprinted on the hearts of many, and will be forever cherished.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday October 19th, 2024, 11a-12:30p at House of Grace Church in North Richland Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to House of Grace Church https://www.houseofgracetx.com/give in honor of Joe's place of baptism and celebration of life.

What a beautifully written obituary for my Uncle Joe. May we always remember his laugh, his smile, and his love of music. The Beatles will forever remind me of my Uncle, and I´m comforted knowing he was surrounded in love by those he held close to his heart. Sending so much love to his girls, Jo & Kris.
