Joe Robert Shockley Sr.

Joe Robert Shockley, Sr., 80, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013. Joe was born May 4, 1932 in Sparta, TN. He was in Construction having worked for Wilhelm Construction and later Marion University. He was preceded in death by his Parents, son, Joe Shockley, Jr., brother, Roosevelt Swope and sister, Mattie Mitchell. Joe is survived by his loving wife Seresa (Young) Shockley; children, JoAnn Smith, Ramona Hart, Calvin Shockley, Lexie Shockley, Sharon Shockley, Cassandra Sherrod, Joe Shockley, Jr. II, Mary Shockley Dennis and JoKaury Shockley; siblings, Roy Shockley, Sr., Peggy Anthony, Pasto Shockley and Patty Shockley; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229 with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
