Dear Lilyan and family, I am deeply saddened to hear of Joel's passing. Both of you had been so supportive of my mom during her illness. Dear Lilyan,
I was stunned and deeply saddened to learn of Joel's passing. Though we haven't seen you for many years, I consider Joel one of the central icons of my early years. I have so many vivid memories of our families sailing together - Three Mile Harbor, Watch Hill, Buzzards Bay - and rafting our boats in the evenings when us kids would play and the adults would drink and laugh. I have always loved the story of Lil and Patty sailing Maruader with Joel and Marty (behind?) on Hiatus. I also remember our trip to Paradise Island in the Bahamas when I tried oysters for the first time; and all of us going skiing together at Davos. You were both such dear friends to my parents Patty and Marty and you gave them much joy and laughter, for which I will always be grateful. Gloria, Daniel and I mourn Joel's passing and we send you and the family our love at this very difficult time.

Wow don't know where to start.first to tell all how I love lil and Joel.always so thoughtful kind caring.cocktails before sailing on Friday nights.flowers of course never anything but a beautiful display of liver pate sausage cheese.scotch .all the wonderful weddings parties.Barcelona .I will miss him with all my heart.love to all
