Joel Linnane Obituary
GREENSBORO - Joel Robert Linnane, age 52, died August 24, 2011.
Loving father of Joel and Sarah both of Sandwich, MA. Survived by beloved friend and former wife, Sandra (Burge); father, William; mother, Fontaine; brothers, Michael and William; sisters, Barbara Guest and Carol Eubanks; all of Greensboro; and sisters Jeanne Love and Joan Liotta.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 16 at Christ United Methodist Church on 410 N. Holden Rd. The family will receive visitors in the church parlor after the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Joel Linnane's Children's Education Fund, c/o Barbara Guest, 101 Manchester Place, Greensboro, NC 27410.
On line condolences may be offered at www.forbisanddick.com. Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel is assisting the family of Mr. Linnane.

My condolences. I just saw this. Joel, Tom & I lived together in Greensboro NC "on Wright Avenue located behind "Hooray Harry's", our beloved watering hole on Walker Avenue." Great memories and a great friend. I'll miss you buddy. Last time I saw Joel was at the Air Force Academy for his niece's ring dance? I wish we would have stayed in touch more, but life keeps moving. So sorry to learn of Joel's passing. He was a bright spirit with an engaging smile and was a great friend. Hope one day to be reunited. May you rest in peace!

Joel, I havn't had too many memorable times in my life . Of coarse the birth of my 2 boys and my life spent with them is #1 but I have to honestly say being friends with you rates right up there.

To Joel and his Family,
I have not seen you in many years but will see you again.
Joel and I met as lifeguards in Greensboro while attending UNC-G. As college students, we rented a house on Wright Avenue located behind "Hooray Harry's", our beloved watering hole on Walker Avenue. Back then, Joel was so full of spirit and enthusiasm in this adventure we know as life. Those of us that knew him in his earlier years in Greensboro remember he was quite a sight riding around in his Triumph TR6 with his movie star looks and infectious personality. He was a loyal friend and caring person.
Joel, you will always live in the heart and soul of those that have known you.
