When JoEllen came back from Paris and she was at ICS/Thrive I gave her a scarf I saved for her Birthday. She love it so much, she went into an area that had a large mirror and all you could hear was "Oh my I love this scarf " it was so loud we all started laughing. I will always and forever remember that particular day.

My beautiful Aunt JoJo... a remarkable human being. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched everyone lucky enough to know her. Even in the face of life´s toughest challenges she stood strong, meeting adversity with grace and resilience.

What I loved most about Jo Jo was her adventurous spirit. She carried a wealth of knowledge and passion for art, travel, and hospitality-always curious, always sharing, always inspiring. Through my visits over the years, Jo Jo was my personal guide, always showing me the best of New York City, the architecture specifically, and because of her I chose to go to Architecture school. Her absence leaves a space no one else can fill and I will forever cherish my memories with JoJo.

The world, and especially New York, won´t ever be the same without her.

JoEllen, was a loyal friend I will always fondly remember her sweet smile and easy laughter.

Sending my deepest sympathy to the entire family. Joellen was there for me in my time of need when my husband was a patient at Sloan. She was a truly wonderful person who lived life to the fullest - a real NYC girl! The best!

A dear friend who will truly be missed. Whose kindness, warmth , and unwavering spirit touched the lives of so many. The memories we shared remain with us forever.

My JoJoBean. Dear Friend. First roommate in NYC, my maid of honor, sister that I never had. Even when I couldn't travel to NY from FL to see you, our phone and texts kept it all going...like we never stopped. I miss you, love you. All of the connections to your family and friends through the years, all became a part of me. And I believe you have taken part of me with you.
