Johannes Cornelis Boot March 8, 1939 - June 4, 2013 Johannes Cornelis Boot passed away peacefully with family at his side on June 4, 2013. Born in Ellemeet, the Netherlands on March 8, 1939, Johnnie emigrated to Canada with his family in 1950. With a zest for life to the very end, Dad was always on the go. He was a very hard worker and was quick to lend a hand to anyone in need. Living life on his terms, he was a magnet to old and young alike. You merely followed the sound of laughter to find Poppa John stirring up some sort of mischief with friends, family, and strangers alike.

He was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Neeltje Boot. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sharon, son Michael (Tiffany), daughters Michelle (Dale) and Chantelle (Jason), six grandchildren, ten brothers and sisters, countless nieces and nephews, even more friends, and a few pets who knew he had mints in his pockets.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on July 6, 2013, 10:30 am, at the Greendale Mennonite Brethren Church located at 6550 Sumas Prairie Rd Chilliwack, BC.

Johnnie gave regularly to the Variety - the Childrens Charity ( www.variety.bc.ca ). He would be happy that you send donations there in his name in lieu of flowers.
