Laughter and Jokes, a kind word of encouragement, a brisk day in the deer stand, we had a bond and love for the outdoors. Nothing in the world meant more to me than spending the day with you in the woods or on the stream. I Miss You, you were my HERO! Love Russ and family.

To the Agnews,
I have been a friend of Jake McNiece for 40 years and I know how much he loved Jack. He has told me story after story of the Filthy Thirteen, always mentioning Jack with fondness. I have seen Jack's face in so many of Jake's photos, and heard so many stories of Jack, that I feel like I knew him. My condolences on the loss of a real American hero. As a father of a soldier presently in an airborne unit recently returned from Afghanistan, I am also so thankful for Jack's service to our country as a paratrooper.

Dear Uncle Jack,

All these years knowing you have been so inspirational to me. I loved seeing you at all the cookouts at the Marshall's. You always told me how good my food was. I loved watching you speak at the Abington library but nothing compared to talking with you personally. Your true life stories of The Filthy Thirteen, D-Day and WW2 were so incredible. You are my hero and I will miss you so very much.

Love,
Mark Marcarian

Dear Agnew family,

I want to extend my sincere condolences to you all. I have the fondest memories of Mr. Agnew during my childhood. What a wonderful family man he was. I still remember his kind smile, his love for golfing, how involved he was at St. K's and the occasional cigar.

I can remember Uncle Jack as a quiet man, always a "Hi" and a warm smile every time I saw him. I recall going to see Aunt Dee and Uncle Jack and Uncle Jack would always have his glasses on reading something look up and greet me. He was a devoted husband and father. He will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Dee and all the Agnew children and grandchildren.

To All, Thank you for all your kind words. Everyone agrees my dad was as close to perfect as a human could be.He was a mentor to be a loving and responsible parent, spouse, and human being. My family and I would like to thank everyone for their kindness. At this time, my sisters and I would like to thank our spouses. We know that marrying one of Jacks's girls could not be easy. The shoes were almost impossible to fill. I worked for Jack for 15 of my 35 years at Conrail. There could not be a better boss. Jack had the ability to explain the most complex problem no matter the level of understanding of the listener. Jack was brilliant, a dear friend and will be sorely missed.
Please accept my deepest sympathy
