We are deeply saddened by the passing of John Agridis. He has been with us at Luigi Bruni Salon since we opened 2005, and his services were greatly appreciated. John always had a great short story for us while we prepared a COD for him. He always made a special stop at the salon during the Woodward Dream Cruise, to show us his Kit Car. John will be missed greatly and our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

John was always the guy you could count on. I met him 7 years ago when I joined the McCann team and you always knew John would be here at 5pm to pick up our packages. He was always very polite and helpful. McCann WorldGroup will miss his smiling face. My deepest condolences to his family.

I only met John a year ago, but quickly knew how wonderful he was. I have missed seeing him, and asked about him daily as he hadn't been working the last couple weeks. I am very sad to hear about his passing. They don't make them like John anymore, truly a dedicated, caring, hard-working, gentle man. I would love to hear him describe the sunsets as he would sit by the water or on his sailboat. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and co workers through this loss of a great man.

Very sad to lose John. As others have said, John was a fixture in Birmingham. Endlessly polite, concerned, full of good will, John possessed an astonishing work ethic...it seemed as though he ran from his truck to deliver his packages.
He will be missed by all of us at Williams Williams Rattner & Plunkett, our law firm where John must have delivered and picked up thousands of packages over the years.
Blessings to John and his family.

Very sorry to hear of the loss of John. I didn't have the privilege to speak with him much, as he was always so focused and hard working when on the job. You could tell he was a considerate person in how he'd take care of his customers on a daily basis. We'll miss seeing him come through our door and hustling throughout town. Rest in peace, John.

He was a wonderful, kind, gentle and quiet man. At times I thought the package he delivered was larger than he - John delivered in our neighborhood for years before moving to the downtown area of B'ham. He would bring packages to the back door if he was concerned about leaving them at the front. He shared stories of Greece and his family and gave us a bottle of wine that he brought home or made. Just last week I was stopped at the light at Brown Street - next to a UPS truck and I looked inside at the driver hoping it was John = to say hello and see that smile of his I will truly miss him - but am thankful that he was a part of my life and I his. My deepest sympathies to John's family and friends.

As you can see from the posted messages John Agridis was well thought of by many individuals. I can vouch that he was a gentle, caring and thoughtful individual. He always had a friendly smile for people except when he was in deep thought about his deliveries. John worked for me as one of my drivers and would always ask if he was doing his job as expected. I happened to see John in Birmingham not to long ago and was surprised he was still working and saddened to hear of his passing. RIP and spread your wings and watch over those you care that are still behind.

We were caught off guard today by hearing the news John was gone. We have had the pleasure of knowing John for over 20 years. He was the best! He never had a bad word to say. He would share his stories about traveling to Greece, Sailing and talk about his cars.He would bring in articles from the paper that might interest us. What a kind soul! He was so dedicated to his job. What a loss to UPS and all of their customers . He was a friend to all. You are in our prayers John. Rest in Peace. We will think of you every time a UPS truck goes by.

Dear John you will be missed dearly by many. I will miss your smile and extra attention you gave us here at Flex-cable. You may be gone but never forgotten. No more hot days or cold, I know you are now where it is always comfortable. There is now a spot in my heart that cannot believe. I always looked froward to seeing your smile

Both my husband and I worked with John at UPS for many years. He was a hard working dedicated employee. He treated all he came in contact with respect and thoughtfulness. Although we no longer work at UPS, we enjoyed seeing John on occasion, while he delivered packages to our Chiropractor, in Birmingham. I cannot imagine how wonderful the reunion was when he met up with his beloved Parents. God Bless you and Rest in Peace, John.

Dear John, I am so happy for the special friendship we enjoyed over the past several years. I am very sorry I never got to meet you in person but i do know what an exceptional individual you were, so sensitive, caring, interesting, generous, and always thinking of others I have fond memories of you and how you described the beauty of Mother Nature on your walks. You were one of the finest gentlemen I have ever known. All of us who have had the pleasure of knowing you certainly understand what I mean. We will miss you but we all will keep you in our hearts, an extraordinary individual, now an angel..

We have a gut feeling John will continue to run his route for a bit longer, only this time with "wings". Just imagine John, nudging his co-workers and coaching them on the job. You will truly be missed and You will always be remembered.

There are words in the dictionary that have a picture of John next to the definition. A few of those words are Caring, Thoughtful and Hustle. You worked very hard and I hope the relationships you had with your customers was as rewarding for you as it was for us. At least 6 of us have know you for over 30 years. One time I saw you on your route, you had seen a pigeon get injured. We wrapped it up and you asked me to take it to Gasow Veterinary Hospital for help. You spoke of your nephew Kris often. One of our car buffs commented, you had driven the brown box truck for so long you drove it like a small car. Before the internet you were (and remained) our network site. You knew who to recommend no matter what the need. Forester Laidlaw Florist recalled telling you that you bounced around like a 40 year old. You touched each one of us. We will miss you at work and are thankful for the time we shared out of work too!

John was one in a million, such a special person!
John Agridis had the strongest work ethic of anyone I've ever known and it was a pleasure to see him every day. He took such delight in chatting about his day, discussing favorite movies and lending videos from his collection and always had a story about his cars or his beautiful sailboat. He was a true Birmingham fixture, everybody knew and liked John.
I'm saddened and shocked by John's death and will miss him greatly.

John, you worked your way into our family and into our hearts over the last 40 plus years. We will never know a harder working, kinder, gentle man. Always a smile, wave and a nod from the big brown truck. Our conversations always were ended by you saying "I got to go Bill" 4 decades weren't enough. It's been an honor to know you. You have taught me how meaningful small moments can be. Thank you for everything John I know you've got to go.

John and Family, You will so be missed! Every day for over 20 some years you delivered and picked up our packages. You were one of the most dedicated hardworking U.P.S. Men around. You rarely ever missed a day of work and that in itself is something. You became our friend. I only hope that U.P.S. knows how lucky they were to have you as an employee. We do know how lucky we were to have had you as our U.P.S. Man. Please Rest in Peace and know that we love you! With Sympathy Lori Karbal, Sam, Kim, Jennifer, Margo, Lisa and Wendy

I passed John many times during my 11 years working at UPS. Anyone
who can last 42 years doing his job is of outstanding character.
Very sad to learn of his passing. May he rest peacefully in the next life.
