Mr. Akely, as I knew him by in 1963, had a lot of skills and talents unknown to me at that time. He was my sixth grade teacher at Pine Hill School in Sherborn MA. In his youth, he cut a lean figure and I was intimidated until I learned what a good guy he was. But he never, ever tolerated any of my classroom antics either.
