Rick and I were saddened to learn of John's passing and extend our deepest condolences to Nancy and the family. A very present figure in Concord center where we both worked, I would see John almost daily, always cheerful with a warm smile and cordial greeting. John and Nancy were long time supporters of the Concord Museum, where we would enjoy gallery openings. Nancy James and Rick Frese

My sympathy to the extended Alexanderson family.
John was a friend and colleague at Digital Equipment Corporation for over 20 years, and a friend for an additional 25 years beyond that. John was a man of integrity, character, wisdom and warmth.
I am honored to have known him.
Sincerely,
Roger McIntyre

I had the pleasure of working with John at DEC. He was a wonderful human being. He was a great manager and role model. If you went to John for advice, it didn't matter who you were, he'd offer his time and you'd walk out with helpful critique and consul. I'm so sorry to learn of his passing.

I worked in one of John's organizations at Digital. We all knew him as "John A.", and he was a highly respected individual. What a wonderful obit about a very nice man who was gracious to all he met. Sad to read of his passing. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

I have known the dear Alexanderson family since i was a kid, when we all lived in our Fairport ny neighborhood. I have such fond memories of Mr. A - as I have called him my whole life, although I am now in my 50's - greeting us as our family entered the Cape Cod and Chatham areas for Summer vacations, and hearing him tell us stories about the BEARS in the woods. Our family loves him so much. We are so sorry for the dear family's loss and sadness. Thank you God for the gift of Mr. A !!

I served with John on the USS Carp during the early 60's. In fact John was my Engineering Officer and he tested me on my knowledge of all of the Carps systems which I was able to pass and I was awarded the designation of qualified in submarines which allowed me to proudly wear my dolphins which signified qualified in submarines. John was a wonderful officer to serve under and he had the respect of all enlisted men serving on the Carp. RIP
