My Uncle Elno moved into New Cassel the summer of '22. Jack was the first person Elno met. The two of them became fast friends. It helped Elno so much with his transition. Jack was so kind and friendly. Jack never missed a chance to greet my Uncle with some fun conversation.and talking about the good old days. We enjoyed the many times we spent with Jack. Jack and Elno are both friends together again visiting in heaven.

Jack and my father, John Schall, were great friends who knew each other through Saint Margaret Mary Church. The two of them would attend mass together and meet for breakfast afterward where they would discuss everything from the best cars to baseball to how they could reach out to those in need. Jack was definitely a man for others. What a kind, gentle, soul. He will be missed.

Sincere condolences to the family.
Jack was a friendly and generous man that we met through our participation in the "40 & 8 Club Birthday group" and dancing at the American Legion Post 1, which we shared in with my father Alex who passed away last year.
The photo was taken in March of 2022 at New Cassel retirement community during a visit.
We will miss him.

So sorry to hear of Jack's death! He and my husband, Ed, were friends for many years and occasionally met for lunch until Ed's death. After that he would occasionally call me to see how I was doing. Jack was a true gentleman and he will be missed by so many!
Rest in peace, Jack

We lost a good one when we lost Jack. He certainly left the world in better shape than when he was born. He was a lovely, gentle and wonderful person whose friendship I was blessed to experience for many years. God rewarded Jack with a lovely wife, 2 children, and a whole bunch of friends. John
